Indoor cam detecting motion outside of motion sense area

indoor can gen 2, set up above kitchen counter in smaller window pointing outside to porch. Slightly slightly tilted down. I have set up motion zones and set it to people only, but it keeps capturing every single person walking by outside the zone, as well as car headlights reflecting on that window far right up outside the zone at night. No matter how much I adjust the zone, it seems like it is capturing motion on the entire screen. Photo included.
