How to disable floodlight cam lights being triggered by motion at night?
We just got a pair of floodlight cams and got them installed in our backyard. But when we are in our pool or spa at night, we don't want them constantly turning on and off. The help topics for the floodlight cams ([https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam)) shows a "light settings" button in the app, but that does not show up for me. And there are different tiles and on/off toggles than the demos show as you can see in my screenshot attached. I've explored all the options in all the tiles in the app to try to find similar settings for changing motion settings for the light instead of the camera, but can't find anything there. This is really driving us crazy after how much we spent for these, especially with having to have an electrician run new power lines to where we wanted to install it, only to be aggrevated by it every night. Any help appreciated. Thinking of returning them if I can't get an answer. Thanks Brian

I mocked this up, [Enhance "Snooze motion on all cameras" Mockup ](http://wickedstone.com/Enhance_Snooze.png) Refer to this [new feature request](https://community.ring.com/t5/Feature-Request-Board/Enhance-Existing-quot-Snooze-motion-on-all-cameras-quot-Feature/idi-p/40580#M1042) . This would allow you to snooze any combination of motion alerts, recording and/or lights. As with the existing "Motion Snooze" functionality, this could be applied to all devices or on a per-device basis. Let me know what you think. If you're interested in this new feature request, please give it a thumbs up (kudos). There is a work-around. You can turn all three motion zones off via Device Settings \> Light Settings \> Motion Zones for Lights. Of course, you need to remember to turn them back on at the end of the evening (which I forget to do nine times out of ten).

Good morning Brian. So, in a nutshell you can't totally disable the lights from turning on in the app. I _had_ the same issue with 1 of my floodlight cameras, cats and possums constantly walking thru my yard at night triggering the flood light even though I had it set to people only. My fix was drop the light, snip the black wire to each of the lamps, put a small wire nut on each wire then reinstalled the unit. While somewhat counter productive to why I bought the camera in the first place, it was a decision I could ultimately live with since the camera broadcasts in color during the day and the night vision, even if it's black and white it is clear enough for me to live view the camera at night. Bottom line, I still have a fully functional camera, no annoying light when I don't want it turning on and best of all the cats and possums aren't running up my electric bill.
