How do I get a 2nd device to record?
troubleshooting

I have a 2nd gen doorbell that was et up a 2 years ago, works fine, records etc etc, Im on a standard plan, I have a spotllight camera that I have been struggling to set up, it wouldnt set up correctly on my phone. I eventually set it up on my wifes phone with me as a guest user, we can both see both cameras on our phones, however the spotlight is unable to record, it tells me that there is no subscription in place, I understand that the standard plan covers multiple devices, how do i get both set up on the same plan?? thanks in advance for any help

Hi @user_6cb6d5. I responded to your other thread, but the issue is that the Spotlight Cam is now set up on a different Ring account. Ring Home Plans do not apply across locations or accounts. You need to remove the Spotlight Cam from your wife's account, and set it up under your Ring account, at the same location as the Ring Doorbell.

Hi,thanks, I thought it may be something that simple. The issue I had was that I could not connect it to my account with my phone scanning the QR code, is there another way to do this?

Hi @user_6cb6d5. When setting up the device, if you are unable to scan the QR code, you'll see an option to set up a different way. Let me know if you need more assistance.
