Circuit Fail After Spotlight Cam Install
I replaced an exterior light with a Ring Spotlight Cam this afternoon. Before removing the existing light fixture, I verified it worked properly. It was a straightforward installation (a single 2 wire cable). I turn on the switch to the now newly installed Ring fixture and nothing happens. I also discover that an outlet that pulls power from this light switch is no longer functioning. This oultet was installed this past Spring and is used daily without issue, including today until I installed the Ring. No circuits are tripped. All fixtures and outlets upstream of this light switch are operating as they should. In an additonal effort to debug, I disconnected the Ring Spotlight Cam and replaced it with an old exterior light that works. Nothing. Could the Ring Spotlight Cam have fried the circuit from the switch to the outlet? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
