Battery Bricking Stick Up Cam and Spotlight Cam
Has anyone experienced their Ring batteries bricking their cameras? I'm sensing a pattern. Recently, Ring replaced one of my stick up cam because it stopped working entirely. In the app, it showed "Device Offline" and any troubleshooting whatsoever would not bring it back. It was fully bricked; I couldn't even factory reset or get a blue light, with any of my other batteries either. Fast forward to this week, and I started troubleshooting the replacement camera that Ring sent, which worked for a few weeks, and has now also been bricked and offline for several weeks. Today, I discovered my spotlight cam was offline too, and brought it inside to try new batteries and troubleshoot that. Well, exactly the same thing has occured. Not one battery will get any power to this device either. I'm getting confident that one of my batteries is a dud and is somehow breaking the electronics inside each device it goes into. I had one spare battery for all my devices, plus the spare battery I kept from the warranty exchange on the first bricked camera. I simply charge each battery, set it aside, charge a new one, and the next camera that reports a low charge, I swap out the battery. So, if I had a defective battery that was breaking each camera it went into, it would take a little while to get through the bunch. As such, I've labeled each battery individually now and will see if this trend continues. Ring, if you're reading. I would appreciate a warranty exchange on a stick-up cam and a spotlight cam... :(

Hi @user_851504. I don't see how a battery could cause a device to "brick". I suggest contacting our support team so they can further investigate this issue with you. https://ring.com/support/contact-us/call
