Warranty
I called tech support to get my flood light replaced. After paying $100 a year for warranty I was told that only half of my 6 cameras were not covered and the only solution was to buy a new camera. Every other word from there tech support was “I’m sorry for the inconvenience “ or “we do apologize. If I would’ve know only half of my cameras I wouldn’t have subscribed to the yearly warranty. I feel ripped off!!!

I was on with support today about the plan I purchased for Ring Protect because they chose to take some of the things out of Basic and move them to Plus. I prepaid for basic and they are "sorry for the inconvenience". I asked if I upgraded to plus, how could I be confident that I would get to keep the features I am paying for. Their response was that I cant.

I just went through the same thing because I had basic (used to be cheaper for 3 devices) prior to going to pro. Luckily I saved the old motion flood lights that ring replaced. Check you tube for video on how to remove led light sockets and replace them with standard sockets. You have to remove voltage adjuster. Limited electrically knowledge required. I had old lights but they can be purchased for under $5 each. Mine is back up and works exactly the same way with app. Screw ring my unit was manufactured in 2019. They have to know the voltage regulator fails yet they won't back it up. Probably a very cheap part for them. If they sent me one I would've changed it. The offered 35% discount. No thanks fixed for free. Next best solution check you tube search change lights on ring flood light.
