Base Station makes rush noise
cs-support

Hallo everyone, I have noticed an issue with my base station. The Speaker makes constantly a rushing noise. It seems to be always activated. When i restart the Station, the speaker rush noise turns off. When i change the mod into away or home the speaker starts again making the rushing noise. It seems that the base Station cant automatically deactivate the Speaker. Does someone knows that issue?

Hi @Wuselino. If possible, can you record a short video demonstrating this noise you're hearing from the Base Station? You can then upload this video elsewhere, such as YouTube, and then share the link to the video in your reply here. I'd be happy to take a look and see what you're experiencing. :)

Hi, here´s the link to the Video. The Noise is very silent, so i had to put the micro off the Smartphone directly in front of the speaker. I recomment to use headphones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNrJ4KMLNvs

@Wuselino Thanks for sharing that video! I took a look and I really couldn't hear the noise you were referring to. For this you may want to reach out to our support team so they can take a look at the video as well as your account to see if anything is wrong. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). Let me know how that call goes and what solution they recommend! :)

Hi Caitlyn, i have uploaded a new Video where u can hear the rush noise better. There comes a "pop" Sound and u can hear how the rush noise disappears. The "pop" sound comes when the Base Station restarts. In real the rush noise is louder but the Smartphone Mic has trouble to catch it. https://youtu.be/OaIBoVti2mo

Hi, I know it's old post but I just bought and installed new Ring gen 2 security system and I have exact same problem with base station! I can hear "rush" noise true base station speaker if I put my ear close to base station. Looks like speaker stays active all the time. After base station restart I can't hear anything but if I change mode and make any sound true base station then speaker making this noise rush noice non stop. Any fix for this?
