Water leak/flood detector?
Is there such an accessory which will detect a water leak or flood. I am sure I had seen/heard of one in the past. But can't seem to find anything in the product list now. Maybe a 3rd party accessory may be available? Any comments/thoughts?

I've just been told by Ring support the product is the "Flood & Freeze sensor". But it is US only. I assume this will be because of the differeing frequencies of the two countries. I left appropriate feedback!!! I wonder if there are any third party products which may be a solution?

Tapo make a Flood Sensor. Their free app sends notifications out to my phone and Echo devices. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tapo-Waterproof-Notifications-Installation-T300/dp/B0C8PCJNJL/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3V91OC5ZNNSR9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.KB_FIViyB4FRWjBzaWYTCaiye_cQqCwLdT1XQvrvPuqYs3YdOpLyW9DhR0wXixXSmTWix8ts4RLalgFAr3pnYCXdtUv7BqQdpYLmhXwI6TS6bX65NfZM71jdQBwpvXIsAhC2xVcAUuyJZrhBGtTOHl9vNtLooYbckDXxvuQ2nipTH4qt-TepfX-Gp80i7hLARb2gEWUwdwkjuw-5Fvgy6AXNnlZAJlIRsxc6iIWS-KGChDQU9psOyXJvh36bDwug5mcYO0FbZyx4T0Aw8SDqAXV1mUnUDsGQNqfF3Gritl8.sUuGv2HE--Mex1-ZvFZQPvSSqGGz3SE5VRXVTtbaYvQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=tapo%2Bwater&nsdOptOutParam=true&qid=1731507770&sprefix=tapo%2Bwate%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-5&th=1 Tapo also make Temperature and Humidity Sensors. Not specifically Freeze sensors, but again you can set them to send notifications of any temperature or humidity levels set and breached to your phone and devices. https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-Tapo-Temperature-Notifications-T310/dp/B0BLZFJBT2/ref=sr_1_5_pp?crid=LDP1OWTP1OTE&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.mnC1PRTXVzFXE4hu8kbo-Aa4gY0otX1aO6ruMwIj7Pj3weRK3p3X_8sSKB268D3gkBpZxeH1-WibE2VswLHMk1qrf7Lj7X2Gx8EKW9AL4tkbt77fCdQulZyzQKxT5Ylnj4RUOl94MHi9L3MiR-YstjslrBscSGfBwW6LV358mWtAFWcSlWLh1koLL6vu33E-B9vZSXImOBgAtiEQCxdLRu-QqrkuoceX2zBS1qm59LaerqajcGbfrYMhcwG00CVRkpTNCWvovVTleOQjVTS9RRX_3_IRbUpHk4d2ndm1rn4.9Qt3HsiNGqkKgUaPjz4VttQklO2Zyg-fWnOIgM0bIhg&dib_tag=se&keywords=tapo%2Btemperature%2Bsensor&nsdOptOutParam=true&qid=1731507828&sprefix=tapo%2Btemp%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-5&th=1 I use both of these myself, they work great.

UThank you for the pointers. I had seen these products before. But could not see how they would integrate with a Ring system. Apart from maybe a convoluted route through Alexa/Google Home. Both of which I do not have. How are you using the above with your Ring system? Thanks for you kind words.

You asked "I wonder if there are any third party products which may be a solution?" I offered you a solution that would inform you of flood and temperature breaches that you could receive through the same mobile device as your Ring alarm does, which these do, via the Tapo app and its notifications. There are no flood and freeze sensors that directly integrate with Ring available for the UK market. So its the above or similar, or nothing at all.

UI am told by Ring support there have been moves in the past to release a UK comaptible unit. Noise on these forums is just one way to agitate for Ring to satisfy a demand if it is shown to be worth their while. Hopefully this small flae like thread can help this in some way.

UWell no as others have confirmed in this thread. Any USA model will not work in the UK as its Z-wave module works on different frequencies to that licensed and interoperable with UK units.

Hi @user_88b7ba. As other users have commented in this thread, the Ring Alarm Flood & Freeze Sensor is currently only available for purchase and use in the United States. We don't have any information on when or if this accessory will be available in other regions in the future. You may be able to find a 3rd party accessory that works with Alexa, though it will not be a direct integration with your Ring system.
