Solar panel battery?

Question

My ring stick up camera displays the solar symbol but when I click it it says wired.  When I go into the power setting it says battery.  I’m pretty sure it not charging it either, sunny days and battery not charging.  I tried to reset the camera manually, nothing has ever changed.

Hi @Amy5. The solar symbol would indicate that your Stick Up Camera is connected to a Solar Panel. It's important to ensure the Solar Panel is receiving several hours of direct sunlight per day. I'd also recommend checking how many events your Stick Up Cam is recording each day, since a large number of events daily can drain the battery more quickly than the Solar Panel can help charge it. Solar panel battery?
