Ring Solar Charger connected "but sunlight is too weak to charge.." even in direct sunlight

Hello, Ring charger says it's connected, but always says ".. but sunlight is too weak to charge this device." Except it is literally in direct sunlight. The battery continues to dwindle down and down. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting it to the Ring doorbell, but no change. Thanks!
