Ring Accessories
Chime makes noise for motion but doesn't ring.
I am now at my wits end. I have been through all trouble shooting and cannot understand why my chime will make noise when motion is detected yet will not ring? I have restarted, reinstalled, checked network, checked speed and tested the sound. It has no issue with motion at all but no ring. Please help, thank you

By ring do you mean when someone presses the doorbell you don't get the doorbell ring on the chime? If so I have possibly a similar problem and it seems if the doorbell triggers a motion noise then it won't ring if the doorbell is pressed within about a minute or so as for some reason ring have decided we don't want to hear multiple notifications. I've been speaking to ring support and tried to explain that a motion notification is different to someone ringing the bell and should always sound

ESupport told me and I'd already thought about doing this but it just seems wrong. If I bought a second chime, I could have 1 for motion and 1 for the doorbell being pressed. This would also for me have the benefits of being able to send and set a different sound for the motion sounds from my cameras at the rear of the house. But really I should be able to set different tones / sounds for each device and always hear the doorbell
