Charging ring doorbell 2 solar charger

Question

Did anyone know that although it’s not in the instructions, you are supposed to set the solar charger by itself in the direct sun 4-6 hours before installing it under the doorbell?

Thank you for sharing, @Rocket78! The Solar Charger is designed to start working as soon as you plug it into the Video Doorbell, but only provides power when getting direct sunlight. Setting it in sunlight prior to installation is not a required step, and your Solar Charger should collect solar power and provide a charge without needing to do this. If you had to do this, please ensure the mounting location is not covered from sunlight. I hope this helps! :)
