There was an error while trying to play the video
troubleshooting
wireless-security-cameras

When looking through History, I get above error about 25% of the time. I I come back later video will play ok. If I download video, it plays ok. The main problem is that it takes too long to timeout if this error occurs and I have to wait to try next video. I am using ring, com through browser on my desktop. Windows 10 Home. Nothing wrong with internet connection download speed is 54 Mbits/sec, upload XXXX Mbits/sec

I get this all the time also. About 25% as you say. If I click on another, then come back to the error one, it almost always works. That tells me it's something wrong with the Ring process. All in all, it's a pretty crappy app. I probably wouldn't buy Ring if I was starting from scratch, but I've got five cameras and a doorbell, so I'm too deeply invested.

....more Because it works ok on my phone app, I thought it might be my browser which is Chrome. So I switched to Microsoft Edge   ..... exactly the same problem exist there . This makes Trying to find an overnight intruder event impossible. Any one home at Ring?

Hi neighbors. Checking your network speeds is a good step to take. I would also recommend trying to reboot your router. Also, make sure you do not have a VPN active and verify your web browser is up-to-date. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call to further investigate this with you.
