Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro - installation question - height
I am looking to purchase the Ring Floodlight Cam wired Pro but have a question that I need answered before making the purchase. I am looking to install this product at a height of 20 feet and want to understand if the product will function at that height. I realize the recommended height is 9' for optimal performance but that is not an option. The installation location is shown below. The sensor and camera will be pointed down at a 20-degree angle. Does the community have any thoughts on this, recommendations, guidance, etc. ? Thank you.

Hi @JP_Marsplanet. We advise against installing the Floodlight Cam at a height of 20 feet. You're likely to have issues with motion detection working properly at that height, especially if you're angling the device downwards. This is in addition to connectivity concerns depending on where your router is located. A height of 20 feet will also present complications in the instance you need to physically troubleshoot the Floodlight Cam.

I think the issue might be how far that puts it from your wi-fi router and if you will get a good signal. We have ours at about 8 to 9 feet. It will also depend on your ability to access the unit when necessary.
