I am seeing red and amber lights on a ring battery when I placed it in the charger. Does this mean the battery is virtually dead and I need to buy a new battery?
Hi @Maltie. How long have you charged the battery for? It can take about 8-10 hours to fully charge the battery for your Doorbell using the provided charging cable in a standard power outlet. Try a different power outlet as well, and monitor it to see if the lights change at all after a full charging time of 8-10 hours. If the lights don't change, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) and they can look into this further for you.
