Notification issues
I was recently without internet for around 10 days while changing supplier, once up and running again I set up the WiFi which was fine. However, since then my floodlight camera has not been giving notifications at all. I’ve checked everything is on and correct in my phone, and also on the ring app, and I’ve reset and rebooted it twice, still nothing. So as a last resort I removed /deleted it on my app thinking I could just reinstall it, but now it’s saying it can’t.The ring chat is diabolical, I then called and the automated voice message was so fast. I couldn’t keep up and it was pretty useless so now I’m without a camera I’m paying subscription for. To make things worse, my door bell is giving notifications, but my door is down the side, hence having camera on the drive, so I turned all detections off? And guess what, it’s still giving notifications even though everything is off. Help 😩

Hi @user_0f566c. Notifications are controlled via the Ring app and the notification settings in your phone. Motion Alerts need to be toggled on in the Ring app for that specific device, and the Ring app needs permission to send notifications from your phone's settings. As long as the Floodlight Cam was properly connected to wifi and your Motion Zones were set up, you should have received a push notification if motion was detected. The first step here is to set the Floodlight Cam back up in the Ring app since you removed it. You should be able to follow the prompts under Set Up a Device to get the Floodlight Cam connected to your wifi network. Are you receiving any error messages during the setup process? Which part is the setup failing at? Please attach a screenshot of what you see in the Ring app if possible.
