The Ring app will send notifications and sounds to your mobile device, in which it will depend on audio options on how you hear this. Often times it will come from your mobile device, but we've seen neighbors also use [Alexa enabled devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031246412-Ring-Supported-Alexa-enabled-Devices). If you are attempting to use bluetooth this is not an intended operation and experience will vary based on mobile device abilities/ audio device type.

  No this isn’t helpful. Suck a simple question: WHY can’t I listen to the live stream or a playback through my Bluetooth headset connected to my phone? Not a seperate Bluetooth device, but I’m away from the house, I check the motion and see the video ON MY PHONE - why cant I listen to it through the headset ON MY PHONE LIKE EVERY OTHER APP? Why is this so difficult?

  I have the same issue all of a sudden. If i go back to earlier videos i can hear through my headphones but once i go to live it automatically plays out through the phone instead of the headphones. If this is some phone setting what exactly are you refering to?
