Device Transfer May Take 15 Days

I purchased a device from someone else and when I went to set it up, Ring said it was registered to someone else and I would have to wait 15 days to register the device to my account.Fine. I have since registered the device and it works great. However, the message that I must wait 15 days will not go away and it’s at the top of my dashboard every time I open the app (iOS). How to get rid of this message?!
