Can two users control modes on the same camera?

My husband set up the initial Ring app on his phone and the two factor verification is registered as his mobile number. I have set up the Ring app on my phone and am a shared user. How can both of us control the 'modes' function on our home camera? As a shared user, I don't have access to modes and I want to be able to turn the camera off when I get home. If I log into the Owner app, the notification for the two factor is sent to his phone, which isn't helpful when he is at work. Surely there is a way around this for households with multiple occupants to control the home's security? Please can anyone advise how to get around this?
