Ring LED light interference with nearby ceiling fans

Question

Since installing a Ring floodlight cam over our garage door, the ceiling fan and light in the room above the garage (which has windows directly above the Ring floodlight) have episodically turned on overnight. We had assumed random radio signals but are wondering whether the LED lights in the floodlight are responsible. We've seen the forum discussion regarding garage door openers and wonder whether the same kind of interference is impacting our fan and light. Are the Ring LED lights manufactured to meet standards limiting radiation that can cause such interference?

Hi @RAL. Can you specify what model Floodlight Cam you have? Since this is a hardwired device, it is possible that the issue you are having is related to how your Floodlight Cam is wired. I would determine if this is rooted from having multiple devices wired into the same circuit. If this is too complex, a licensed electrician can probably look into this for you.

Thanks for your response, Tom. The model is the Ring Floodlight Cam White-Wired that was on sale on December 2019. Had siren capability but not the voice capability of the model currently available. I doubt the circuit is overloaded. The light/cam is controlled by a single on-off switch that shares a circuit with a handful of lightbulbs and 3-4 electronics such as a Wi-Fi router, back-up surge protector battery and a printer. The affected fan is on a wholly separate circuit. The number of devices on the circuit to which the Ring lights are attached has not changed appreciably through the years.  The one largest changed circumstance is the Ring light install, though I'm not 100% sure since I've not systematically recorded the fan problems, but am working from a sense the problem started roughly a year to a year and a half ago, which would be coincident with the Ring light install.
