Is it possible to make a smaller pet tag for cats and smaller dogs?

I have a dog and cat, and purchased pet tags for them both. However, they are the same size tag, while the pets are not! Would a smaller tag still work for scanning the image? If so, I am requesting a smaller tag be made available. The existing one dangles very low on my cat's chest and drags on the floor when she is lying down. She gets annoyed!
