Do not disable Live View because of low battery

Can the feature that disables the live view on a camera or doorbell when the battery is low be removed? I appreciate why that feature may be in place but it seems rather pointless when a warning that the battery is low is more than sufficient. If the battery is low surely it should still be the users choice whether to use live view or not. The primary reason to have a camera is to capture motion, but the ability to use live view to check all is ok when away from home is also very important. To not be able to do this just because the battery is low means key functionality is lost and forces me to change the battery long before I really need to.
