Disable landscape default video display

Every time I click a notification on my phone, it opens up the (useless) full-screen, landscape live view. The problem is that it takes several seconds so the person has already left by then. It needs to open up on the device screen showing the small live window with the freaking history button. We need to be able to view the recording!!It should also show the freaking snapshot in a useful size.
