Good afternoon, It has come to my attention that the ring cameras have been hacked. The code used in the hack is Bluetooth that's why it has been undetected in security sweeps. Also the same code can reach the inside of your house. Along with any other Bluetooth and WiFi enabled device or app. Please contact the Head of security because a patch need to be put in place asap Thank you  Paul martinez

Hi @user_440ac5. Like other smart devices, Ring devices may be targeted by illegal attempts to interfere with their wifi connection. For any concerns with network security, we highly urge you to contact your internet service provider.

What exactly brought this all to your attention?  Bluetooth is very detectable, other wise it we wouldn't be able to communicate with it. Any hack like this  would have been reported and patched by now any way. I think there might be other unrelated issues involved.

I wish ring would assist me to unlink my old email, I’ve told them MANY TIMES Amazon Deactivated the old email months ago and I created another email to have my Alexa transferred to the new email, I know my old email is still active via the Alexa and ring linking together feature the representative told me but said because I get login codes to email I’m locked out of she wasn’t able to verify my identity?? I don’t have access to the old email but the old email is still associated with the phone number I’ve been using with both apps for two years, I offered to send my drivers license and the serial number off the original box the doorbell came in but their absolutely not trying to help me secure my privacy or my security.

This is the reason I’m asking ring customer service to unlink my old email from my ring account that I can’t access anymore Amazon has already deactivated my old Amazon email so I don’t know why ring is giving me a hard time, The customer service representative I spoke to said she’s not able to help me because she can’t send a verification code to the email I’m locked of but I had to wait 30 days for them to release the doorbell to a new email but what’s the use in deactivating the device if you explain that you lost access to the locked email and that’s why you need the device restored to a new user account, I thought deactivating the doorbell and waiting 30 days the device should be restored to new and any account previously associated with the device is wiped from The Ring account?

Can you please give me the information to get in contact with Head of Security I can’t login to my old email and I purchased ring protect Tuesday, Wednesday i received an email saying I requested deactivation to my ring account I didn’t do it, They still have my email address that I lost access to associated with my ring account although they made me wait 30 days before I could reactivate it with my new email, Ring keeps putting the blame on my Amazon account not being deleted after I lost access to my old email but that’s not true because I was on the phone with an Amazon representative who actually helped me transfer my Alexa and Amazon account to my new email and he had me try and login to the old Amazon account to make sure he deactivated the account and when I did I got a message saying no account exists with this email so somebody needs to help me get this resolved
