Alarm Schedules
This has been posted before but if people can’t post many times how do you know what’s important to us ‘neighbours’?!? I cannot believe that an alarm system that markets itself on connectivity and costs so much doesn’t allow a basic function of setting schedules. What a joke. The functionality is there - the Alexa App allows you to create a routine but doesn’t pull the devices through. Ring, you need to sort this out. So frustrating. I’m reading everywhere that people are resorting to Simple Commands App and having to enter their Ring CREDENTIALS to link the accounts. Are you crazy?!? Why would you effectively force people’s hands in this way!!! Sort out scheduling and keep our systems safe!

I bought your security system for my entire house and realised that you don't have one of the most basic features which is to arm and disarm the system through schedules. I went to various forums and realised that many other people are looking for this feature. I had many security systems in the pas

Ring, we really need a way to schedule the alarm to Home, Away or Disarmed. This will avoid the "I forgot to arm it" before going to bed, work, etc. Having a timer count down during automatic arming would be ideal. Thank you.

^bump. I've been asking for this feature ever since I purchased the Ring Alarm System back in August. Initially, I was shocked that Ring did not have such a basic feature for alarms. The reps have told me that many people have asked for it and they are looking into it. An update about the status of this feature would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Just an FYI for anyone that may be confused by this. Mode Schedules that @Marley_Ring is referring to is for the ALARM SYSTEM ONLY. This does not include any of their cameras or video doorbells that you may have without the alarm system. I received confirmation from their support in regards to this because I was wondering why I didn’t have it yet for my Video Doorbell. Their official response: “Mode Schedules are only available for the Ring Alarm station at this time. The cameras do not have this function at this time.” Why they don’t have this function for any of their cameras or doorbells is absolutely beyond me. Blink has this functionality and it’s so nice. Use case for this function with the cameras or video doorbells: If I know I’m going to be outside for awhile I want to disarm the camera so I don’t 1. Get a ton of notifications and 2. have a bunch of useless recordings of myself or my family. I disarm the camera, and I will forget to rearm or set to away. Support’s answer is you should use Motion Snooze. I don’t want to use Motion Snooze, because again. I don’t want to silently record myself and my family with loads of useless video clips. Now if they have a motion recording snooze, I could see that being useful. But instead there are neither scheduled arming nor motion recording snooze.

RING needs to add either a function to schedule a time to arm and disarm the alarm! This is rediculicous. Its like making a car with no breaks! If you can't add the function, at least allow 3rd party skills, like Hubitat, Alexa, etc the ability to creat a routine to setup such a schedule. I have tried to setup a routine through Alexa and it shows Ring as an unsupportive device, even after I linked Ring skill into Alexa. I will submit a review that will reflect my experience with RING on this issue in the near future. If I don't get a response from a RING moderator saying that the team is in the process of adding this function, I won't be as negative. I have read comments about this dated back years ago and after a moderator responded saying they will share with the team, nothing has happened. I hope this time something does!
