Video Doorbell 4 and Amazon Echo dot

I had a Video doorbell 4 installed and setup with my email. I invited my husband as a second user and he accepted. Our Amazon account is in my husbands name and we can connect our Echo Dots to Ring but the do not chime when the doorbell is activated. We have ensured DND is off on the dots, that notifications are activated and nothing is sounding. We even tried adding the Ring 4 to my husbands email, but it won’t allow us as he has an account already. I’ve seen numerous issues relating to this and have tried what seems like every fix but none are working. Can anyone advise a solution as without the Dots we are somewhat stuck. Thanks
