Smart Lighting Transformer Operating Temperature Range

Smart Lighting Transformer is specified from -4 to 122°F operating temperature range. Isn't that going to be a problem for installations in cold climates like MN? That seems like a serious design oversight and should have been noted in the installation manual: [Ring\_Smart\_Lighting\_Transformer\_Manual\_EN.pdf](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/360044079251/Ring_Smart_Lighting_Transformer_Manual_EN.pdf) Regards Ack

I agree. -4 isn’t really isn’t that great when wind chill gets factored in. I am new to ring this year, & this is a big reason I have not invested in more outdoor equipment.

We appreciate this feedback, neighbors! Mot of our outdoor devices will have installation requirements listed on the Tech Specs portion of the product page on Ring.com. The [Smart Lighting Transformer](https://ring.com/products/smart-lighting-transformer) advises operating conditions of -4 to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C) and it is Weather Resistant (Suitable for Wet Locations). Please keep in mind, most of our outdoor devices have a similar temperature range as those temperatures are often paired with or considered extreme climate conditions.
