Ring Pro lasted one day.

Hello I recently bought my mother a ring pro for her birthday. It was installed yesterday. It has now stopped working. However it didn't really last a full day as it dropped out during the night and came back on for about an hour this morning. I have tried everything I can from checking to make sure there are no lose wires, to trying to reset it to turning the power off and turning back on. I tried to change WiFi connection but I can't get the tracing white light to circle. This suggests a system failure to me as it does absolutely nothing. It would also appear that the screws on the back are already rusting and there wasn't any rain last night. Is this seriously that much of at this price????

    Hi @swinydapooh. How long did you have the Ring Pro wired up before you connected it to wifi? It can take up to 6 hours for the internal capacitor in the Ring Pro to charge before it can be properly setup. Also, have you installed the Pro Power Kit? For the Ring Pro function properly, you'll need to install it and select the correct chime kit selection in the Ring app. Do you have a mechanical or digital chime kit? You can change this selection in the Ring app under the Device Settings \> General Settings tab. I hope this information helps.

      Hello, I had an electrician install the thing and called out another two times already. I never had a door bell prior to this. So it is not connected to any chime except for the plug in chime that came with the product. As for the pro power kit I assume you mean the transformer that came with it? Yes the electrician has connected it to it via port 1 and 4 as directed via the manual. He installed it while I was at work and by the time I got home Friday evening I could use it. It then stopped in the middle of the night and has been so called charging all weekend. It doesn't even give the chime alert at the button anymore either. Also please update your helpline information says lines are open between 8am-8pm yet when I called after work at 7.30pm it was closed followed by the wrong opening times

      Hi @swinydapooh. The Pro Power Kit is a small white box that is used to regulate the amount of power going to your Ring Pro. If this isn't installed, you'll need to have it properly installed to get full function from your Ring Pro.
