Have a new Generation 2 Ring doorbell. Do you recommend I hard wire. It is struggling to charge and hold charge for long

On initially charging the ring doorbell took 3 days to charge and once installed the battery drained in 4 days. I am now recharging and in 12 hours it has only recovered 13% from 3 to 16%. Is this faulty?

Hi @user38866. If your battery is rapidly draining, it can be due to a poor RSSI or excess motion events. How many events are you having per day? Hardwiring your doorbell will only provide a trickle charge to your battery, so increasing 13% over 12 hours is on par with the expectation.
