My doorbell ( 2nd generation) stopped working, though it was broken, since it received a hard blow. Bought a new one ( battery powered plus), and had the same issue with the installation. Is not connecting to my WiFi. After going through all the troubleshooting offered online, called the support number, after they made me repeat the same steps, they asked me what router I have, informed that is the latest one of century link, then they informed that is a issue they are aware of, and contact the internet provider, ask them to disable part of the security of the router ( leave the WiFi open without password…) , and try again. Still not working. Called again, and they informed that is a knows issue, again, and the engineers are working on the problem, and I would be contacted. Has been a week since that phone call, 3 since I saw the old one stopped working, and waiting for the new one. Still not doorbell working…

Hi @user_41fefd. I would suggest disabling any VPN you may have. Also, as a test, try connecting your device to a wifi hotspot. If your device connects to the hotspot, you'll know that your network is definitely the issue.

The Costumer service told me there is a known issue with the ring system and the router my inter provider gave me. Is a new issue since it has been working fine for 3 years. Now there is an issue after an update. I don’t have a vpn. When I first installed the new doorbell, it connected fine, then it was updated and stopped working. When ring is going to fix the issue? No where in the information of the product says that is not compatible with the router. Not got any notification that there is a KNOWN issue, the person at costumer service confirmed they know about that issue. Still no solution. And the issue, as I said, started with the update of the doorbell, so is not really a problem with the network, is a problem with the latest update of the doorbell, and no fix yet. Was told I would get an email when the problem was solved, still waiting. And still no where said that there is a known issue, or an estimated time for the problem being fixed. On the while I’m without doorbell or the services I paid for.
