Video sharp Ness & failure to record

Hi. Two problems; the first few seconds recorded is of poor video quality. So when someone peeks into view of the ring-camera I can't identify the person. Secondly, of someone passes the camera and then re-appear shortly thereafter (after the camera stops initial recording), it does not record the second time. So if someone check out my entrance, and then does something unlawful after some time, it does'nt show... Why?
