Is Ring Video 3 a product fail?
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell
Having a product that can be hardwired but still requires you to remove and recharge the battery is a product fail in my opinion. Having it hardwired basically does nothing if it only is able to insufficiently trickle charge the battery. And why would anyone want to wait 5-10 hours to recharge a battery. Either improve the charging speed or provide 2 batteries when it is purchased. Also why did Ring 3 instructions originally indicate a resistor was needed when wiring to transformer but now indicate one is not needed?

@Jakeb3 The battery powered products are good if you are in a situation where you have no wiring available. If you have doorbell wiring in place you are always better going with the Pro models (or the new basic ring wired doorbell) which are designed to be mains powered.
