Carlon DH840E Rings too much, video doorbell 2nd gen
hardwired-video-doorbell

The chime rings when I go to live view and when there is motion detected. I want the chime to only sound when a guest presses the button. Tried both digital 1 and digital 2 chime settings. Confirmed that Carlon DH840E is in the digital compatibility list. How can I adjust the configuration so I get what I want.

I have this same problem. The Carlon chimes twice when motion is detected about 20 seconds after the event.

Hi @user_809438. I'd recommend checking that the doorbell circuit is properly wired, and there are no loose or fraying wires. Typically, a chime kit should only ring when someone pushes the doorbell button. There is no setting in the Ring app that would ring a mechanical or digital chime when motion is detected. Are there any settings or options available on the chime kit itself?
