Video quality

I have one outdoor camera & two spotlight camera, and I’m very happy with the app and how the camera performs. However when there is a car passing by on the road (even if it’s slow) I cannot see the license plate or reconnize persons when I zoom in. Do I do something wrong with the setting or is this just the way it is. I have tried other camera brands where I can zoom in and can see all details
