Motion detection: cars but not cats!

My camera picks up people but not cars. If the delivery van backs in I don’t receive a notification. I have a long driveway so I need to see who is driving in as well as walking in. If I take off smart detection (people only) then I pick up the cat or squirrel every time one walks by. I see from this forum that I’m not the only one with this problem. Surely the AI should be able to distinguish between a car and a cat! Is Ring just being complacent in updating software capabilities?
