modification of floodlight cam for dark sky compliance
My Ring Floodlight cam wired Pro and Floodlight cam 1st gen are not Dark Sky compliant. My vacation home is in a community that requires Dark Sky compliance to new construction or in my case extensive remodels. I need a shield or hood or some sort of modification for these two floodlight cams. or maybe even different floodlight to attach to the cam. I checked Etsy and did not find a device suitable for a floodlight cam. Setting the floodlight for motion activation only is not an option, The electrician wondered if we could remove the floodlight and substitute with a compliant floodlight. Are there any suggestions?

Hi @user_229b8e. We don't offer any type of accessory like you're describing for the Floodlight Cams. Dismantling your device does void the warranty, and we can't guarantee the Floodlight Cam will work properly if you try to remove the lights. You could check if a different model of Ring Security Camera will meet the requirements you need, such as one of the Stick Up Cams.
