10% discount with protect plus

Hi I'm new to ring - just about to purchase my first set of cameras. I notice that if I subscribe to the protect plus plan I can get 10% discount but I can't subscribe until I first buy something and put it under protect plus - is that correct? I don't mind buying protect plus before the devices but there seems no way to do that.. Thanks for your help.
