Kwikset 888 acting similar to Contact Sensor
Hello. Is it possible that when a Kwikset-888 Lock opens (while on Away mode: Alarm is ON) then you have 60 secs to disarm the alarm (enter passcode) using the Keypad (as if no valid-legit code was used but rather door got opened by force)? In a way this is very similar to the functionality provided by a Contact Sensor. Right now I can open/close the Kwikset-888 using the Ring app. I hope I'm explaining correctly the hypothetical scenario of somebody breaking in my house via main front door (Kwikset 888 in place but no Contact Sensor installed). Thank you

Hi @user_3ae1e0. Apologies, but I'm not sure that I fully understand your question. Are you asking if the Ring Alarm siren will trigger if the door, without a Contact Sensor but a Kwikset lock installed, is opened? The Ring Alarm is only going to siren when a Ring Alarm sensor, such as a Contact Sensor or Motion Detector, is triggered. Smart locks cannot trigger the alarm. Let me know if this answers your question.
