Solar Doorbell Charger Defect?

Has anyone else noticed their solar doorbell charger’s outer covering looks like it has melted or started cracking? Or maybe the panels somehow got humid and corroded? It almost looks like old plastic. Wondering if this is common. It seems like a solar panel should be able to withstand direct sunlight. The regular solar panel I have, which is older, doesn’t look like this at all.

        Same happened to mine looks like the plastic is not sun resistant also the contact provided can’t link with a live agent
