Ring access controller Pro 2 melted

My Access Controller Pro 2 melted. It was installed in November 2021 to open our gate. It worked great for over a year and then in April 2023 it stopped working. I looked at the access controller to find the plastic housing melted. The unit was still powered on and responded to commands from the app but clearly something went very wrong.
