Can’t connect to WiFi - stuck at 95%

Ring stopped working, applied ALL known troubleshooting- Will get stuck on 95% and then error and will NOT connect to wifi. I'm trying to connect to WiFi extender 2.4ghz.  Doorbell was connected fine to this before, got a new router and my Ring Spotlight camera has reconnected fine but my Ring doorbell 2nd generation just will not connect.  I’ve tried everything suggested by Ring Support but nothings working.  Please help to get this fixed.
