I am on my second doorbell, both under a year and yet again the plastic covering is coming off. Is this a general fault or am I just unlucky? The plastic bubbles then comes away.

Hi @user_431031. As the previous commenter suggested, the best course of action is to contact our support team directly. They can review the physical damage to your Doorbell, and review what options are available. You can chat or call at one of the numbers here https://ring.com/support/contact-us/call.

Common I'm afraid, and more likely to happen in damp, bright and coastal areas. And more common on the Venetian Bronze version. I complained about mine doing the same as the button got sticky due to peeling and Ring sent me a new one. I asked for a silver one to see if they're any better. They tried to fob me off citing it was poorly situated and that it was outdoors so it was likely to happen and wasn't covered, but I quoted back at them the item is designed to be fitted outdoors and therefore should be fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time. Also, that I am subscribed to Ring and have been since I bought my first Ring product, all my product is covered, permanently no matter the age or reason. I recommend contacting Ring via chat on account.ring.com and stand your ground!
