The countdown by minutes. There is a 3 minute gap. In between recordings. Say like 0014am the next it's 0017am then 0020am. And so on. So in those 3 minutes im losing footage. When you look at the clock. Which means that any potential action. Like someone coming back in. In our Communal Hallway is not being picked up. I have a premium plan. But not a premium or pro Doorbell. So the basic this it's 2nd Generation Ring Doorbell.

Thank you for that information. The Video Doorbell 2nd Gen does not support 24/7 Recording. This means your Ring Doorbell will not record continuously, only when motion is detected, someone rings the bell, or you open the Live View. Since you have an active Ring subscription, you also have access to the Snapshot Capture feature, which can take a snapshot image at the selected interval. These snapshot images are viewable on the Event History Timeline in the Ring app. The Video Doorbell 2nd Gen is a battery powered doorbell, so you have access to the Motion Frequency setting under Motion Settings > Advanced Settings. This controls how often your device should check for motion. The default is Regularly, where the motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Try out the Frequently setting, where motion detection always stays active.

UThe motion is on Active and Frequent. I've also not got it set on any motion detection now. There's no boxes ticked.

Hi @user_f1daeb. I'm not sure that I understand what you mean here. Are you referring to a delay after motion has been detected? If so, what is the signal strength listed as on the Device Health page in the Ring app? The 24/7 Recording feature is only available for select wired Ring Cameras, and it requires a Ring Home Premium subscription. With a Standard or Basic plan, your Ring Camera will only record when motion is detected, or Live View is activated.
