Mode selectors on dashboard waste too much space

I tried enabling modes so I could quickly turn off all camera and doorbell motion alarms when working in the yard. While it worked the mode selectors at the top of the dashboard wasted such an incredible amount of space for something that might get used a couple of times each week I ended up disabling modes. Please significantly reduce the size the mode selectors take up on the dashboard or better yet move them from the dashboard to the menu.
