Ring Transformer okay in the rain?
Just want to confirm-confirm...can the Transformer be mounted outside exposed to rain? I know it says "connected to a GFCI outlet" (which I have) and 1' above the ground (which it is), but I just want to really make sure it's okay. I guess I ask as it's so fancy/nice looking, almost looks like it's not made for outdoor use. Thanks

Thanks for your help. There are no challenging issues with placement, and I'm not worried about temperatures. Rain is the only thing I'm concerned about. If you're saying the Transformer is fine in the rain (and as such, it truly *shouldn't* need a weather resistant outdoor case if it's only exposed to rain), then it sounds like everything should be fine. Thanks.

Hi @RinOak. The Ring Transformer is rated for -4 to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C) and Weather Resistant. This means you can mount it outside. As always, it is a best practice to take any necessary precautions to mitigate wear and tear from the elements. I've seen a few of these installed in clear, weather resistant outdoor cases for added protection. This could be a great option for you if your specific placement is challenging. I hope this helps!
