Adjusting Time Light On
Just installed Ring Spotlight Cam and I would like the light to stay on longer once activated however it does not seem it is possible to adjust the length of time the light stays. Is that correct?

Thanks for your reply Eagle328 however there doesnt seem to be that option. I have only one cam spotlight. I created a group following your suggestion for the one camera howver there is no settings for groups to be adjusted. There just does not seem to be any lighting adjustment option in the app

MI'm having trouble with my floodlight cams. I programmed them to have the floodlights come on at 6:00 PM and off at 6:00 AM. But in the middle of the night the lights are off. I checked the schedule I configured and it says on at 6 PM off at 6AM. What am I missing ? By the way, these are wired

I was trying the same thing, only trying to shorten my time as it was too long. After much searching, I finally found out where it is. After you choose your Device and go into Device Settings, click on Light Settings, then surprisingly, Motion Zones for Lights. There you should be able to set the light pattern you want, and at the bottom of the page is : After motion, keep the lights on for: with a list of times from 30 seconds to 15 minutes. Good luck.

Gotta love the WONDERFUL (cough cough) support we get from Ring. I got off chat where I was told that the only setting is 30 seconds and there is no way to change it. When I asked what i was supposed to do if someone was prowling my backyard, I was sure they would be there for more than 30 seconds. I was told after 30 seconds if they were still moving the light would go on again. I knew this did not sound right, and I ended up finding the answer here.

It appears there is no way to increase the length of time the lights stay on after detecting motion. The advice in this thread is incorrect for the Spotlight Cam.

Yes there is. In devices, under your light group. Then click settings for that group and you can change how long they stay on for. Remember the longer they're on, the more battery they will use.
