Hi @user74549. Those were all excellent steps to try to address your concern. We also have this Help Center page with other troubleshooting steps you can try when your Doorbell is not connecting to your wifi. If these do not help, give our support team a call for further assistance.

Not sure if you've managed to get your Ring Doorbell to connect. We had the same problem for months and nothing worked. We have Ring gen 2 and Hub 5, the bell worked fine for over a year and suddenly it decided to disconnect from the hub. It worked fine on my hotspot though. We tried disabling 5ghz, split the 2.4ghz and 5ghz, creating a guest wifi, everything you can imagine. Contacted both Ring and Virgin Media and they were unable to help, with the latter trying to charge us to get someone from the support team to have a look at the issue. FINALLY, found something on the net and thought to give it ago and it WORKED 💪 We changed the router setting to Modem mode and then factory reset the router using the small button at the bottom. We then reset the Ring Doorbell, all good now.

I have had the same issue with our setup- Ring door bell and chime and Virgin media hub 3.0. I have been struggling to connect the doorbell to the hub but found a solution that worked for me. I turned off 5G WiFi on the Hub [ this May or may not be significant, but it’s what In did. Note, connect to the hub via a cabled device as if you loose the WiFi connect by turn off 5G you won’t be able to log in to turn it on again… ] I then placed a [ TP-Link] WiFi extender close to the doorbell and went through the setup process, connecting to the extender ( which has the same WiFi password as our Hub, which again may or may not be significant ). The doorbell connected and installed an update. All functionality seemed available. I then used the doorbell’s ‘change network’ option in the Ring app to connect directly to the hub and again all seemed well. I was ‘close’ to the doorbell throughout this process and the WiFi extender was only about 6ft away. I hope this helps 😄

I am with Virgin and had some problems getting wifi in certain areas of my house. I complained to Virgin (which is not easy to do) but eventually they gave me a couple of boosters. One is plugged into a socket outlet and connected to the modem by an Ethernet cable. Another is plugged in near my TV box and that is connected to the box with another Ethernet cable. This help and is not far from my Ring doorbell which I think may have helped the wifi signal bing received by the doorbell. I hope this helps. Good luck.
