Ring doorbell button not working sometimes

I keep getting people saying they rang the doorbell but it did not ring.The button itself is quite hard to press and the outer shell the membrane feels loose so i think people think they are pressing it but its not actually depressing the switchWhat is the process when there is a potential fault on these things?I tried reaching out to support chat but its a bot
