after 3-4 weeks of my ring doorbell going offline for no apparent reason, and having to manually re-setup the doorbell each time, I was finally working form home at a time I could call the customer service line in there operating hours.  After numerous failed attempts to get the doorbell to reconnect to the Wi-Fi, the customer service advisor advised me that by doorbell was indeed broken, and it had been faulty for some time. Many many weeks was there official line.  To rub salt into the wounds, turns out I'm 2 weeks outside my warranty period! the customer service agent even admitted and agreed that my doorbell was indeed faulty during a period within the warranty, however as I had not rang them till today, it was too late and they wouldn't do anything to help me out. They admitted it broke within warranty but kept refusing to help as my call was outside warranty period.   really disappointing service from Ring. why have a health checker built into the app, if the health checker doesn't pick up any errors. I wont be buying a ring product again,

Hi @user_dc6062. I can't speak to what support said, as we don't have access to any account or device details here on the Ring Community. Were any troubleshooting steps performed? If a Ring device is disconnecting from wifi often, it is typically due to a weak signal, or advanced network settings.

all trouble shooting steps performed, the ring device no longer connects to the WiFi. No signal issues as the device was always within 5 feet of the router. more of a warning to other users about the awful customer service from Ring. if your a new buyer, look elsewhere.

@user_dc6062 A distance of 5 feet shouldn't be too far for the Doorbell to have a good signal. I'm not sure if you're receiving a particular error message in the Ring app when you've tried to connect the Doorbell to wifi, but we have some troubleshooting steps here that may help. If you're interested in troubleshooting further, I'd recommend checking that the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are open on your network. Changing the router channel could also help.
