I discovered that the doorbell was offline so tried to connect it again. I have pressed the orange button but the white spinning light won't come on. The light is in fact a blue one and is constantly on. I have also tried to reset pressing the orange button for 20 seconds but nothing. I have switched off the power to the doorbell but when I switch the power back on the constant blue light appears  again.  Does anyone have any idea as to what I need to do? Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi @Loz. It sounds like you have a battery powered Ring Doorbell that you might have connected to an existing doorbell circuit. If this is the case, the Doorbell is technically still powered from the battery, and not the external wiring. Please disconnect the Doorbell from the wiring, then fully charge the battery with the provided charging cable. After the battery is fully charged, reset the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Walk through a new setup in the Ring app with the steps under Set Up a Device. If you run into any errors during the setup process, we have some troubleshooting steps here that may help resolve common issues. Our support team can provide further assistance if you're unable to get the Doorbell connected.
